 LATEST NEWS:

Let us draw a line under the year 2009!
Last year Blind Vandal had only 28 gigs (that is including the band taking part in several festivals) against the usual 35-40 gigs per year. The gigs took place across 12 cities of Russia. There were also a few master classes given by Alexander Firsov (guitar) and Alexander Kharev (drums). Furthermore, the band members together with their producer got to judge a number of contests along the way. Unfortunately, the band didn't make any recordings but were (and still are!) coming up with new material for their fourth album.

At the same time, there are things to remember (and to read about!):

- The first on-line gig in the history of Blind Vandal happened in Kazan in the "Everything for musicians" ("Все для музыкантов") music shop/showroom. The gig was recorded on DVD (Thanks to the shop manager and mover Vyacheslav Chigasov!).

- Performing at the MusicMesse trade fair in Saint Petersburg (Thanks to Sergey Babich!) -"An outstanding performance of an outstanding band…" (Read here for the full review - Thanks to Alan Bard!)

- Performing at the ROCK-LINE open-air festival in Perm' (Thanks to Lena Novoselova!) -"…I am amazed every time I see this band. They play such intricate instrumental music with no vocals at all and still they easily thrill any house they visit. "Rock-Line" was not an exception". Read here for the full coverage from the festival (Thanks to Katya Borisova /FUZZ/Saint Petersburg/!)

- By the end of 2009 the band performed at more than 50 cities and towns around Russia. Aznakaevo, a town in Tatarstan, became number 51 in the band's track record! Moreover, the gig there was recorded and screened in its entirety on the local TV channel a week later. Much to the entertainment of the fans! (Thanks to Ilgiz Fatikhov, manager of the "7 notes" ("7 нот") music shop and GROMBEY band guitarist)

As of 2010, Blind Vandal marked its beginning by having a gig in its home club "The Wheel" ("Колесо") on January 19. The band congratulated its producer on his birthday and performed 3 completely new tracks in addition to its 1.5 hour long set list.

So what are the bands' future plans? We won't share at the moment, but time will tell!

Rock Forever!
